We soft launched Fille Garçon in January 2025 — quietly, instinctively, and exactly one year ago. What began as a small, heartfelt idea took its first real step into the world after our very first trip to Playtime Paris that same month — a moment that shaped everything that followed.

By June, we returned to Paris for our full official launch, bringing the brand to life on a bigger stage with clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of who we are and where we’re going.

Since then, this past year has been one of those pinch-me chapters — equal parts excitement, chaos, learning curves, and deep gratitude. What started small has continued to grow into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

This year, we shipped Fille Garçon around the world — from Norway, France, and the United Kingdom to Australia, the Netherlands, the USA, Kuwait, and Spain — watching our community expand across borders, cultures, and time zones. Seeing our pieces worn globally has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

Our best-selling style sold out — twice. Each time reaffirming why slow production, thoughtful design, and truly listening to our customers matters. And because you asked, we listened: we expanded our sizing up to age 16, making space for more kids to grow with us, not out of us.

Creatively, we introduced a new range, pushed into fresh ideas, and launched an entirely new category — now trademarked 🚀 A huge milestone that represents not just growth, but real confidence in our direction.

Behind the scenes? Not always glamorous. We moved fulfilment warehouses three times, learning the hard way what scaling really looks like. But each shift made us stronger, sharper, and more resilient.

On the industry side, we showed at trade fairs in Paris, hosted pop-ups in Los Angeles and London, and worked alongside some of the best stylists and photographers in kidswear. We shot editorials across the USA, Spain, the UK, Wales, and France — collaborating with brands we admire and creatives who truly get our world.

Press & awards-wise, we were incredibly honoured to receive three industry awards in our first year:

  • GOLD at the Junior Design Awards for Best Newcomer, judged by an expert panel including Monsoon

  • SILVER at the City Kids Green Awards

  • BRONZE from Absolutely Mama Magazine

On top of that, we were also nominated for a Junior Style Award — recognition we don’t take lightly for a brand built with heart, patience, and purpose.

Collaboration has been a defining theme this year. From shoots and creative partnerships to influencer relationships that turned into genuine friendships, community has remained at the core of everything we do. We also partnered with one of the most iconic cowboy boot brands in the world — a true full-circle moment for our ever-evolving cowboy era 🤠

And somewhere in between all of that? We even found time to appear on a podcast, sharing the story behind Fille Garçon — the why, the challenges, and the joy.

There’s an exciting collaboration we’ve been quietly working on for months, and we’re so close to sharing it with you. This year reminded us that growth isn’t linear, perfection isn’t real, and the magic is often found right in the middle of the mess.
