Born from Love, Crafted to Last. From Buyer to Brand: My Story

Fille Garçon was born from a deeply personal place. After two decades as a fashion buyer and becoming a mother, I found myself searching for something different—something that stood against the fast, throwaway fashion that had become all too common. I wanted to create pieces with meaning—beautifully crafted designs made to last, not just for a season, but for generations.

The name Fille Garçon means "girl boy" in French—a reflection of my love for effortless European style and a belief that kids' fashion should be free from limits. Our pieces are gender-neutral, made for both girls and boys, because every child deserves clothing that embraces their individuality.

Designed in London, Fille Garçon specialises in heirloom-quality leather jackets for kids—not just any jackets, but ones that tell a story, hold memories, and are made to be cherished. Each piece is crafted with care in small-batch production, using natural materials free of nasties —gentle on little bodies, kinder to the planet.

We are dedicated to minimising waste, repurposing scrap leather, and making the most of every resource. Our jackets are built to be passed down, loved, and remembered—clothing with a soul that carries a legacy.

At the heart of Fille Garçon is this simple belief: childhood is too short for boring clothes, and the future is too important for disposable fashion.

Thank you for being part of the journey,
Liz Dore
